一、IATA简介

IATA的英文全称为International Air Transport Association——国际航空运输协会，简称国际航协。其官网对IATA是这样介绍的：

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world's airlines, representing some 260 airlines or 83% of total air traffic. We support many areas of aviation activity and help formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues. IATA’s mission is to represent, lead, and serve the airline industry.

1、它是一个Trade Association——同业公会、行业协会。

2、它的服务对象for The World's Airlines——为航空公司服务。

3、它的服务范围Air Traffic/ Air Transport——航空运输业。

3、它的任务是to represent, lead, and serve the airline industry——代表、领导和服务航空公司和航空业。

4、它的成员representing some 260 airlines——其主要会员是航空公司。

二、ICAO简介

ICAO的英文全称为International Civil Aviation organization——国际民用航空组织，简称民航组织。其官网对ICAO是这样介绍的：

The International Civil Aviation organization (ICAO) is a UN specialized agency, established by States in 1944 to manage the administration and governance of the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention).

ICAO works with the Convention's 191 Member States and industry groups to reach consensus on international civil aviation Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and policies in support of a safe, efficient, secure, economically sustainable and environmentally responsible civil aviation sector……ICAO's mission is to achieve the sustainable growth of the global civil aviation system.

2、它是established by States——国家之间发起成立，其缔约国为国家。

3、它的工作内容to manage the administration and governance of the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention).——管理和协调芝加哥公约所规定的事项。

4、它的目标是to reach consensus on international civil aviation Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and policies……——为促进全球民航安全、有序发展，制订国际空运标准、条例和政策，协调各成员国行动。

5、它的成员为the Chicago Convention's 191 Member States——签订了芝加哥公约的191个成员国。
